There is art in design and design in art. Sometimes the two achieve such balance
that it simply becomes our choice
where to place the outcome... if we choose to name it at all.

Introduction
A Creative working in both art and design. Creating; various vessel forms, sculpture (including Bah Relief and installations), mixed media, digital photography, social media, graphic design, writing, painting and drawing. Currently living and working in Southern Alberta.
London Studio, London, Ontario ~ 2010-2-12 , 2nd floor of Farmers' & Artisans' Market Inc. in the historic Confederation Building, 900 King Street, London, Ontario. A ground breaking utilization of this specific place, the London studio brought a genuine contemporary art practice into reach of the public on an ongoing basis. This unexpected public forum ignighted random occurrences otherwise not experienced in a secluded art practice. Dialogue with the public was one of the most interesting and enduring benefits from this experience to this artists consciousness. Something of my presence remains there in the form of multiple geometric floor murals created before returning to Alberta in 2013. The Architectural Tile Series based on my intuitive geometric responses to the building and the market community. The Fire Roasted Coffee Co. floor murals show a progression from flat surface design to imagery using geometry.
Artist Educator
Everything is connected. Mine is an holistic world view which is reflected in my approach to the art process. Viewing creativity as an essential part of living life authentically, is part of a vibrant sensibility. Yes, in my opinion creativity, is potentially, a transferable skill.
A School of Thought and Contemplation
An Holistic Art Practice encompasses an awareness of all the various intelligences and parts that make up who we are and how we process our experiences of life. Strive to expand that awareness and honour the; physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual contributions that are experienced through the practice of art. In my work with studio participants where ever I am teaching, I strive to bring a deepening awareness to 'Whole'ism in art, to build confidence in exploring ideas, risking experimentation and utilizing the practice of art creation as a vehicle for insight.
My goal is to nurture and train people to think for themselves. To that end, my hope is to support them in achieving awareness and appropriate skill levels to realize a deeply satisfying personal art practice. An 'ongoing' art practice that is both enriching and challenging, enhances creativity throughout our lives and facilitates sharing, within our circles, when we desire it.
